S. Loeb writes history in Sweden.
He is the first non Skandanavian to win the Monte Carlo and Swedish Rallye consecutively. Ari Vatanen, Bjorn Waldegaard and Tommi Makinen are the only other drivers to win the first and second round in the WRC in succession. Sebastien Loeb is in good company.
Petter Solberg has his best win in Sweden this weekend as well and takes 3rd overall behind Marcus Gronholm.

Trivia; "Who are the other non Skandinavian to win Sweden"?

I think you are thinking about another rallye.
From Worldrallynews.com:
Swedish drivers retained a phenomenal unbeaten record on their home event until 1981 and, even now, it has been won exclusively by Swedes and Finns. The closest challengers have been Colin McRae, Michele Mouton and Carlos Sainz, who have finished second.

Rallye Finland is the one you are thinking about.
For years, Nordic drivers dominated the rally: Finns won it every year from 1972 to 1989. Recently, outsiders have started to leave their mark, and both Carlos Sainz and Didier Auriol have been victorious. However, the most successful driver in the event's history is the 1983 World Champion, Hannu Mikkola, with seven victories, including a hat trick in 1968-70.

Until 2004, a non-Scandanavian driver had never won the Swedish Rally. However, it had been won once by a non-Scandanavian co-driver, Terry Harriman.

- I think it's great that the last "myth" is gone...
- It used to be among non Scandinavians regarding 1000 Lakes and Swedish rallies; "We just wanna finish and pick up some points". They didn't come to race. Now they do and they do well.

- First it was Safari; "Non outside from Africa will never win". Mikkola changed that. Then 1000 Lakes (Rally Finland) by Saenz, Auriol and Martin and now the last one.

- Seb Loeb did fantastic job. He finished what Jean Andruet (Alpine A110) started in '70s (he was 3rd overall).

No, I was just messing with you guys a little, sorry.
Finland could have been mistaken, but other drivers than Skandanavian have won there.
