FIA defer regional WRC car ban

Motorsport's governing body the FIA has postponed its plans to ban World Rally Cars from regional championships next year.
Following a request from all the affected regions, a fax vote of the World Motorsport Council has deferred the ban in regional championships until January 1 2004.
