There seems to be a lot of interest in having WRC event here in the states. While it would be fun for the spectators, would it really be a Good Thing (tm) for the US rally scene? I am not so sure I want a WRC event here. Imagine a forest filled with uncorraled NASCAR fans. That's what a WRC event would look like.

Rally as a club event would be set back years.

It's just my opinion, which is of course, more important than yours. :p

Not until U.S. rallying stabilizes itself and figures out how to cope with massive expansion. WRC is a ways off, and we need to get our house cleaned up before we start inviting guests over.

How are uncorralled NASCAR fans any worse than the retards that stand in the roads at almost every WRC event? Atleast most of the NASCAR yahoos are too fat and lazy to leave their lawn chairs. They'll probably just sit and get drunk.
