Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I want to be,
Pony trekking or camping,
Or just watching TV.
Finland, Finland, Finland.
It's the country for me.

You're so near to Russia,
So far from Japan,
Quite a long way from Cairo,
Lots of miles from Vietnam.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I want to be,
Eating breakfast or dinner,
Or snack lunch in the hall.
Finland, Finland, Finland.
Finland has it all.

You're so sadly neglected
And often ignored,
A poor second to Belgium,
When going abroad.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I quite want to be,
Your mountains so lofty,
Your treetops so tall.
Finland, Finland, Finland.
Finland has it all.

Finland, Finland, Finland,
The country where I quite want to be,
Your mountains so lofty,
Your treetops so tall.
Finland, Finland, Finland.
Finland has it all.

Finland has it all.

Why I love Finland?

1. Because when you squint, it looks identical to Sweden.
2. But when you don't and read the signs, it doesn't.
3. The fact that you can find nice dirt roads 1km from Helsinki-Vantaa airport, in case you're a little early to return your rental car.

Just the colors on the flags a bit different

Finally, I love their wimmin! I was in heavean on Christams season in London when 23 newly graduated physical therapists from Tammerfors, the town next to where 1000 lakes starts arrived in the hotel i was transiting thru on the way home to Washington, I was supposed to be into London and then fly out next day.
10 days laters I stumble onto the airplane, nearly dead.
Those Finnish wimmin know what Sisu is too!!
Oi oi oi oi!

Seiuosly folks, if you want to ger an idea of the feel of Finland and its very dry but very funny humor, find and rent the movie
"Night on Earth" by jim Jarmusch and look at the last segment. I swear to all you that it could be a documentary.
Also check out the "rockumentary road movie" by
Aki Kaurismäki "Leningrad Cowboys Go America" and watch it like a hawk.
You will be faster if you understand these films, honest.

Love or.....
Mooses
lots of moosies, very convenient for distracting others cause you can always shout "look a moose" if you want to change the subject

mosquitos
lots of muzzies, drive weenies away, leaves tougher individuals to sit in Sauna so theres more
Koskenkorva
kossu is the social lubricant of the country, required drinking, or you get thrown out of sauna where the muzzies and moosie rip you to shreds.
So I was told by Erja Hautala, so it must be true.

I recommend "A Night on Earth" too - not just for the Finnish section, which is HILARIOUS, but also for the Italian, French, and American sections. A very good, obscure film just jammed with amusing social commentary.

Also features (if i recall) a Volvo, a Fiat 600, a Citroen DS (??), and an LA taxi. Oh and a young Winona Ryder and Bertolo Bertolucci (or whatever) before he became famous.

Hey you left all the motorcycle Racers off your list - what gives??? Mikkola , accck there was 350cc Rider whose name I cannot remember but he invented knee out hanging off riding style which led to knee dragging. KTM has a Finnish rider for 125cc GP's
So why do I love Finland - becuase they buy up the Datsun parts clogging my Garage plus send me cool decals and pictures.
