Hey All! It's been forever since I've poked around the boards and community. Nice to be back.

R-A site is down right now for me, and my driver is asking me to follow up on whatever needs to be done to freshly log book his new Evo 6.5 in Open Class. We've got the FIA registration from it's use in Poland - but unless I miss my guess we've got inspections and paperwork to deal with.

Target event is LSPR so my window of opportunity is astonishingly small. Neither me, nor my driver have competed since the departure of SCCA so we both have (I presume) licensing issues to deal with as well. I have been reluctant to take this sub-project on until I saw the car with my own eyes; now that criteria is satisfied so I hope the community can offer advice.

This doesn't need to be a big long forum thread. I'm just wondering if someone in the know concerning the proper contacts can give me a head's-up. If someone is willing please e-mail [email protected]

I hope to see everyone out at LSPR this year.

Get in touch with Mike Hurst to make sure everything on the car is up to snuff. If it's a proper GN car, shouldn't be a problem. Look up his profile here and email him.

Call Bob at RA for crew licensing, but that can literally be done at registration if needed. I think it's $60 for a one race license (I assume you and Jon aren't going for points at the last race of the season, with points it's more).

Good to see you guys back. We missed ya. BTW, what ever happened to the Audi (one of the coolest sounding non GrB cars ever)?

Well let's see, the Audi got sold (against my advice) to some folks out east, and I think it's been zooting around there. After I smashed my Audi (the 5000 rally one), I started diverting funds back toward lesser luxurious items (food, housing, shoes...) and thought I should take a break from all the hullabaloo. Then the SCCA direction shift ocurred and the replacement car for Rek saga got longer and longer... Well we just both weren't in the right frame of mind to be involved. Me more so than Rek who at least would go spectate.

This Evo 6.5 WAS built as a proper Grp-N car; but it now has an open-class motor (you know Rek & the need for HP!!!) so I think we shan't run too far afoul of any regulations in open.

I shall chat with Mr. Hurst.

Thanks all and I look forward to seeing everyone up there.

Isn't this the same car you asked me about earlier this year?

If it was competing in Group N elsewhere, it probably has a homologated cage with certificate, and the certificate must be kept with the car and logbook and be available at tech for every event (same as FIA rules).

You can see me at LSPR about a log book, (I've been told that the R-A books are finally done!) the local scruitineers are usually too busy to deal with logbooks at events.

Well yes I suppose it is.
I had forgotten who I spoke to about it, and what was said.
My appologies for not remembering better.

The car has drifted into and out of my life a few times, and frankly I'd lost track of what had been done and what hadn't.

Thanks for the information Mike.
