After months of quiet negotiation, the American Rally Sport Group Inc., organizers of the Ramada Express Hotel and Casino International Rally, and Rally Promotions organizers of the International Cherokee Trails Rally, are proud to announce a new multi-year agreement with the United States Automobile Club (USAC).
The USAC agreement will include FIA listing for each of the international events through the ACCUS-FIA Inc. Listing and Sanction will begin with the 2002 Ramada Express Hotel and Casino International Rally in December and continue for both events through the year 2005.
The United States Auto Club holds a prominent place in motor sports history including decades with the Indianapolis 500. Along with several open-wheel sprint car series, USAC also sanctions the Pikes Peak Hill Climb and the U.S. Grand Prix Formula-1 race held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Mr. Johnny Capels, Chairman of the Board of USAC, also serves as President of the U.S. Grand Prix.
