A one hour documentary on the 2002 Targa Newfoundland rally will be broadcast nationally on the Global Television Network on Saturday evening, January 25. Broadcast time is 7:00 pm in every time zone across the country -- except Newfoundland, where it will air at 7:30 pm on NTV.

The show, produced by Patterson-Partington Productions/TV2GO, is not your normal rally report. Rather, it's a look at the event and what it took to put together a 7-day, 2,000 kilometre event through central and eastern Newfoundland. Narration is by journalist (and co-driver) Jim Kenzie, who clearly enjoys his work. Lots of good helicopter footage of stunning scenery and spinning cars, laced with interviews and great Newfoundland music.

(US fans in border states or with satellite service should be able to get this broadcast.)

If you wanted to be at this rally and couldn't attend, or if you were thinking of it for your 2003 calendar, you shouldn't miss this show.

Caught the show last night. I have to say, it was excellent! The coverage was just fantastic - breathtaking scenery, good local music, awesome photography and of course - cars racing through quaint little towns and villages. Kudos to the organizers of the event, the competitors and of course, to TV2GO and Jim Kenzie for bringing it to us! I hope Global re-airs it for those who missed it.
