Pete Morris (building "Son of CoROLLa"). Thank you one and all for your support. I received permission today to run a tarmac stage on Fri night (20 Sep) as part 1 of Treeline 02. No mileage is yet available due to possible snafus. I'm hoping to give you all a minimum of 4 runs on a 7 to 7.5 mile all tarmac stage. If all goes well, maybe more, down, down, don't be greedy!.CHP and Sheriff Dept have been informed of the event. PLEASE! If you know the road in advance, do not plan to be out there from Fri 21 Jun to practice.I will be out there too. I do not want any accidents to jeopardise this or any other rallies that I have planned. I will also have "O" controls in operation on the night. You will be driving through a residential area to get to this stage. Speeding and noise will be a BIG NO! NO! Time permitting, I will be making pace notes to those who are interested, for a very nominal fee, look at 2 digit figures, below $50. For a 2 day event, entry will be $300. For Sat only, the usual $250. YES, pizzas, adult beverages, water and soft drinks will be there on Sat. Volunteers will get the valuable perks, T-shirts, food and the biggest thank you's from the Organizers and competitors alike. Any question, get back to me, Pete.

Pete

You are the MAN!!

I know it?s early but I have a couple quick questions:

1. Will Friday nights stages be a separate rally than Saturdays? (like RIM)
2. Are ALL of the stages on Friday night tarmac? (unlike RIM)
3. If it?s ?yes? to both of the above questions, can we run a tarmac specific car on Friday night?

I wouldn?t see why not but I understand how it might get a little ?sticky? and complicate things.

Thanks Pete

Ps. If you need someone to help you patrol those super secret streets for reckless rally car drivers trying to get some practice in, I?d be more than willing to do my civic duty?..

Pete Morris (building "Son of CoROLLa"). Ole, As of this Sat, it is 90 days before the rally and the road is therefore off limits to ALL competitors. Please bear this in mind. I will be out there.

Pete Morris (building "Son of CoROLLa"). Fri night will be a separate rally. It will be one stage but run as many times as we can squeeze in the time allowed. I will be asking if we can vary the times that I have asked for, or if we have to go between 2000-0200hrs. If you want to use a tarmac spec. car for Fri, that's fine. Usual roads will be used on Sat.

If you are planning on using a roadrace type car at Treeline be sure it meets our tech standards. Roll cage, seat belts, fire ext. and tow hooks etc. A roadrace log book is not a rally logbook automatically.

The road was paved (repaved) in 2000. Tarmac tires might be worth your investment.

Well Guys/Gals the Tarline stage on Friday is wide and very twisty with two hairpins, so you will defintely will enjoy the ride! Pat is the rallymaster for Treeline and we just went up today to check out it out. You will love it... we were checking for anybody practicing there today.
Be forewarned that there is a lot of motorcyclist using that road ....so if by chance you take the plunge you will not be able to due to them. Also rangers are watching that road as well, since there is a high fire danger in the forest areas.
