Finally got the new EVO's at Dick Hannah Mitsubishi.
Today we took delivery of one black,1 yellow and 1 white, and are expecting 2 silver.
I got to drive the yellow one, and it's handling is impressive, could'nt really test the power too much, as they require a 500 mile break in of 5000 rpm or less, but at 100 mph it feels like you're only going 65. I love new cars!
Rumor has it that all the local Portland dealers have already pre-sold their allotment, our's are not, but they are tacking on a $9995 markup and still expect to sell all within days.
I think it's worth every penny of the MSRP, but I can't see 40K for the priviledge.
Oh yeah, they all have sunroofs and the optional carbon fiber wing.
Unfortunately I have'nt had a chance to drive a WRX so I can't compare the two.

Oh yeah. That's smart. Sounds like the WRX all over again. Dealers add insane markup then can't sell cars.

The EVO is a great car but $40K. Come on.

I think Subaru dealers learned their lesson with the WRX and won't make the same mistake with the sti.

Sorry to be out of the loop, but what's the weenie version vis-a-vis the cool kids version? I ran the stock viscous centre and helical front diffs and they were pretty good.

Is the only difference that the quasi-rally version comes with electronic diff in centre and smaller brakes for 15" wheels? or are there other differences?
