Team Suzuki Canada set for Rallye Défi St. Agathe/Duhamel

Suzuki protagonists, Frank Sprongl partnered by brother Dan and William Bacon with codriver Peter Watt will resume their assault on the Canadian Rally Championship in the scenic Laurentian area of Quebec September 9th. The battle for class honours swung in favour of the Sprongls at the last event when Bacon and Watt ended their rally in a deep ditch. For this event, the two Suzuki Swift drivers plan to not only vie for the class win in Production 2, but also intend to take the race to the much more powerful classes. The roads in the Duhammel area are known to be quite rough, amongst the roughest in the championship, but the rugged Suzuki Swift +?s prepared by Four Star Racing, expect little trouble negotiating the course.
The team will spend Thursday driving the course in their Suzuki XL7?s, an SUV perfectly suited to making the detailed notes necessary for a top performance in the event.
The rally starts Friday at 6:00 pm from downtown St. Agathe, running into the darkness.
On Saturday, the race resumes in the Duhammel area for the longer stages with the finish expected around 4:30 pm.
There are many excellent spectator viewing areas, so come out and root for the buzzing yellow Suzukis.
