Open Class Subaru Impreza 1998 Rally Car for sale without drivetrain and gravel suspension.
Without seats & seats belts.
P&L Motorsports building a this car in 2009.
One of the lightest cars in US. With all documents and log book.
Car has Custom Cages roll cage, all outside covers included and extra body shell with some drivetrain and suspension parts.
Car starts from 2009 in Rally-America events. Done in 22 rally events with good results.
The best results
-2nd place overall open light class in 2009 Central Regional Rally
- 2nd place overall Open Class in LSPR 2011
-6th place overall open class in 100 Acre Wood Rally 2013
-7th place overall STPR 2013
-6th place overall NEFR 2013
-11th place overall in Rally-America National Championship 2013

A couple quick questions for you:
1) How much of the drivetrain is missing (Ie. is it just the engine pulled out, or everything including the diffs, etc)?
2) Do you have a suspension in it at all, or is it just really the body shell?
3) How much are you asking for it?

Engine, trans, diffs and sub-frames, with control arms and struts are missing because that was swap from 2005 STi and we would like to use that on different vehicle, but we have another shell for parts that has sub-frames, control arms, axles, steering from stock RS. If you planing to start in open-light class, you would need engine, trans.struts and diff. from RS. This shell is build for Sti swap or simply you can stay with factory setup.
If you are interesting, we can swap suspension from the spare shell and be ready to go.
For complete fully welded shell with all of the covers and shields included, dash, lights etc. We asking 10K

Wait... so a bare shell, 4 years old, with 22 events, and wanting $10k?

Really? What makes it so special over someone buying a running RS for $4k, and paying someone $5k for a good cage?

Looks like you didn't read full advertise. One shell with spare parts, second with cage and all extras that rally car needs. Good luck to you if you think Rs for 4K and cage for 5K is everything that you need on the car to start the rallying.

What sort of drivetrain and suspension parts? Is the extra body shell a rolling chassis?

The extra shell is with stock suspension parts, with no cage.
