Thank You!!!!!

Edit - the supps don't address the optional gas stops, are we allowed to touch more than the gas cap at those stops? I see the last one at Germania is "gas only" but what about the rest?

I have another question to make sure I'm reading this correctly. If Car 0 time at Service 2 is 1:52, it's a 30 min service, and there's only the 12 mile transit to Wellsboro after that, how is Car 0 time for the lunck break at 3:17? That's almost 1 hour travel time for 12 transit miles? Or am I reading this wrong?

Peter:

If it is "gas" only, does this mean that Jon Hamilton cannot refuel his Golf TDI?

Not being smart-assed here, this was a point of considerable discussion on an event last year where I was a Steward.

You might also want to ensure that you do not get into the situation that occurred in Maine last year.

There is about 25 miles of transit that I forgot to add in to Car 0 time calculation, which is about 50 minutes...

The transit times are somewhat generous to allow for town speed limits and traffic.

Sorry about that.

And you can check into a MTC early if you declare the correct time (7.4B6).

Well, Jon could always add gas to the Golf.

I made a special note of that protest excitement last year, and promptly forgot about it over the winter.

Thanks....

If you'd like the opinion of a former appeals court member on these Fuel/Fluids/Gas-only service stops then PM or email me a phone number and I'll give you a buzz.

Rally is more and more like big government every year.

You guys should take all the rules instituted in the past 10 years, burn them, and start over rather than adding/changing/editing them constantly to suit this or that special interest group.

While you're at it. Burn anything that says "FIA" on it.

If it's "gas only", then only propane powered cars could re-fuel at that stop, since gasoline and diesel fuels are liquids. I suppose even the propance is iffy since it's stored in liquid form.

You could however fill tires, recharge shocks, feed baked beans to the team, etc.

;)

Sorry, couldn't resist,

So, is that documentation missing milage, or just time? I'm just trying to plan fuel usage at this point.

Thanks!

The document is missing time. I calculated the transit time at a very incorrect speed.

The transit and stage mileages are correct to within 1 mile at each value listed.
