I know a couple teams including myself who are refusing to go because of STPR's rip-off entry fee return on withdrawn entries. They refund only $100 of your $725 entry and keep $625. And that they did not mail it until September, not as promised in their supplementals. Not worth the risk of testing the car before the event.
That and the entry fee is $200 more than last year.

With me, its because today is my 12th wedding anniversary. I decided to spend it with my wife at home, for a change, since the past few years I have either been at STPR or busy with work. However, I was not very motivated into running STPR and I am still boycotting SCCA for its recent streak of irrational decisions wich have affected Club Rallying but have protected PRO and the mfgs. I am having a hard time believing that their current management strategy has been "in our best interest". I will compete in CT and Laughlin, and maybe one or two Club events this year. Hopefully, USAC will get more involved in rallying in the future.
