Someone might wantto go through an clean up a couple entries. I am sure the production for stig was Production world rally car not actual US production.

Side note, Greg Healy has the Z entered, bad ass!

I seriously doubt it. The engine and drivetrain were taken out and put into the "all American" Air Force Reserve Focus that Tim ran in 2003. :9

Probably the last time anyone saw (or will see) Carl's car in action was at the October 2002 Vermont SportsCar RallyCross in Essex VT:

That is, unless somebody has actually gone through the work of putting it all back together. :)

Didn't Ramana run that not too long ago in an eastern Canada event? I recall the front bumper being ripped off. I don't think that was all the way back in 2002, was it?

Time flies cause it was 2001 Charlevoix. Think it was more than just the bumper.

Dave:

I see from the entry list that Greg Healey is entered in the Historic Class for the National event. Question - does he also get scored in one of the normal classes - I assume Group 5?

Another question - Gerrard Coffey is entered in PGT in a Mitsubishi Evo 8 - does anyone know if this is correct or if he is actually in Open class?

If I remember correctly, he has the green Evo IV which has run Open in the past. I'm not sure if he picked a ripe Evo 8 off the Evo Tree though.

Gp 5 would be correct. H is kind of a sub-class at present. Most of the H cars that have been running are small-bore rigs that run in Gp 2. Z is a waaay different beastie, tho.

Quest for you, Doug--r u headed for Rocky?

No. My rally plans for the rest of the year are Maine (as a Steward), Defi (as a spectator) and Tall Pines (as a Steward).

The Focus came from Europe mostly intact (including engine) with some final rally preparations done here.

The "Carl Merrill's Escort" rumor was probably fueled by Tim O's ECU incident at Rim. I believe Merrill's car was the donor for that last minute ECU replacement (Tim's on camera comment about the only ECU in North America for this car being in Maine). It probably wasn't helped by the fact that Carl's car disappeared from the radar screen about the same time the AF Focus showed up.

It had been mysteriously buried under 250 feet of snow in a freakish Vermont snowstorm and it took Weegie (Lance's brother/Carl's mechanic) 2 years to recover it.

For those who don't know, Weegie had helped recover a P-38 Lightning buried in Greenland snowfield during WWII. Cool story. More info at http://www.thelostsquadron.com

Believe it or not ... it'll be a PGT car. Displacement pushes it out of P, but we're not doing anything to the drivetrain.

Wait until you see the license plate - a perfect way to describe the way he'll drive it.
