STPR coverage thumbs up

I just finished watching STPR on speed and the coverage was quite good. They showed all the classes . They metioned the production winner. Our local hero (west coast) Leon Styles got air time and they had a nice bit on how to read notes. Most of all they were kind enough to take a second to remember Reidy/Smith.
Under how about for the next broadcast: show folks what a stage crew does nothing big maybe 15-30 seconds.

I agree, the coverage was great. It's about time the "other" classes got some air time. I also was impressed with Diggins bit about the spectators and how they are important to the growth/longevity of our beloved sport. All in all the coverage so far has been as it should be, informative to the laypreson while still pleasing the hardcore rally fans. My only complaint is if Mitzubishi is sponsoring the show, then why did Subaru have a comercial every break and Mitzu only have one for the Whole hour program?

Even a driver should be able to understand this. <g>

I gave up on my cable company, when the last time I called them to inquire WHEN they would be getting Speedvision, the customer service (now there is an oxymoron) rep told me "Well, if it makes you feel any better sir, I never heard of Speedvision".

I thought the coverage was great! They even showed a few glimpses of the 2wds, about as much as I have seen in CARS footage. And seeing Ramana's incar stopsign smack at the end was awesome, almost as entertaining as seeing it in person.

Well, keep "pressing on regardless", I had given up on my cable company ever getting Speed (they hadn't heard of Speedvision when I called 3 years ago either) so I didn't get cable, but when I moved a few miles away last fall and decided to try again and sure enough, they had it in their "digital tier select". So I have to buy, like, the maximum package to get it, but at least I get it.

As far as STPR goes, I missed the show, but this isn't the only place I've heard that the coverage was great this time. One of the guys on [a href="http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=383197"]the Subaru board[/a] suggested that it was better than the WRC coverage.

Hope to catch it next time it shows, which is hopefully soon...

I thought it was very good too, and for the educated I loved the humor:

"sprint rally"

and the PGT SVT Focus...

Even with these little bobbles I think that was the first show that I really did enjoy watching.

Also The night coverage -- well done, the mix of in-car and cars going by was well edited and made for good T.V. (Hmmm, maybe we can go back to racing at night.)

If anyone who has ReplayTV would like me to send them the show over IP, I'm happy to do so. (That's the coolest thing about ReplayTV -- send saved programs to your friends over the internet)

I also have Rim saved, along with the Cypress coverage.

The STPR coverage is what all rallys should reach. They
mentioned every class. They had details for the hardcore
fans. They had simpler coverage for the beginning fan.
Then even following the story of the event. Good job.

Why does the coverage vary so much from event to event?

Cause they finally took a look on this board to see what the real rallists thought?

Got it. One detail I forgot to elaborate on -- the "send it over the internet" thing only works from ReplayTV unit to ReplayTV unit. Most BestBuy stores (and Amazon, I think) are blowing these units out the door. After getting mine, I couldn't imagine how I watched TV before.

Anyhow, sorry for the lack of clarity. Any ReplayTV'ers out there who want copies of the WRC and SCCA coverage, drop me a line.
