I am in no way affiliated with the following link, but was intrigued by the $4000.00 price tag for the fully caged and "race-ready" OKA Race. I'm still trying to figure out the displacement of the "race-engine."

By the way, I was intrigued about this too, until I saw the details on the first website, that say that that race oka is not street legal. It is a track car only. Also, funny enough, they only sell it to SCCA members in good standing! :)

This has not stopped many of our friends with certain cars that start with "M" and end in "EVO"

Additionally, if one were to do single venue events, e.g. RallySprints, there wouldn't be an issue.

So let's get the SCCA to back the one-make series.

I guess I might offend some folks if I made a crack about the new Polish FWD car.

Series + Drifting

One must approach the Las Vegas' "executives" with the suggestion of:

"OKA USA Rally National Series"

OKA USA gets tons of exposure.

We get brand new rally ready cars cheaper than the cheapest rally beater in US.

Other pluses:

Safety. This cars can't go any faster than 70 mph, and this is with a 2 miles down hill stretch. If the rich boys manage to make it faster than that. We always can impose 10mm restrictors or 200 lbs ballasts.

Roll Economics. If you roll, you won't buy a new shell, but rather a new car.

Some cons:

You'll need money for a higher life insurance premium, this is if you find a company to give you a policy.

Not too many of the shelf go fast parts, but nothing that red enamel can't take care of (btw, red is way faster...)

Not counting...

The Drifiting potential of the polish version which is fantastic!!!

CS

ps. It must be Friday or something. I guess I'll go home right now.

All it would take is one semi car hauler going from National Event to National Event. He could carry at least 10. Guaranteed to make the news anywhere it went.

Here are the specs on the "non-race" engine. Look at those acceleration numbers. Plus, you just have to fill it up once a year.

Engine

Front mounted vertical SOHC Two-cylinder
Displacement: 749 ccm
Compression: 9.6:1
Power: 35 Hp @ 5,600 RPM
Torque: 52 Nm @ 3,200 RPM

Performance

Maximum constant speed: 80 MPH
Top fuel economy: 73 MPG @ 36 MPH
54 MPG @ 55 MPH

Acceleration: 0 to 62 MPH: 24 s
