My wife and I are trying to find ways to foster more rallycross in the SF Bay Area (the closest events are currently out by Sacramento, or occasionally up in Santa Rosa, which are 2-3 hours from San Jose). To that end, over on DirtyImpreza, we thought it might be good to just start having some informal gathering of fans in the area so we can start strategizing and estimating "real interest".

This coming Sunday, March 8th, some of us are going to meet up for cheesesteaks at Jersey Joe's in San Carlos. I set up an event on Facebook for people who are interested: https://www.facebook.com/events/1029474347081428 (Robot Pirate Ninja will be the name of my rally team when I get around to actually building one )

Stop by, say hi, let me/us know if you're interested in events closer to San Jose, and if you have any leads on possible locations.

Meetup went well for a first time out. Lots of good information about getting events set up shared, so hopefully we can start beating the streets here in the south Bay Area and get a local event of some sort going.
