So how does the seeding work in Canada. How do you go from seed 5B to 5A to 4 etc... It would seem that all you have to do to go from a seed 6 to a 5B is finish a rally. But how do you get any further? There are people who I thought would be seed 4 but are still a 5B. Can you only advance your seed in a national rally, or do regionals count? Do you have to have a national license to get further than a 5B?

Tom,

From page B50 in the rule book.

Seed 5A: All drivers finishing 11th to 15th in a National event
Seed 4: All drivers with a minimum of 1 and less than 10 seeding points.

Points accumulated as per national series scoring 20-15-12-10-8-6-4-3-2-1 for top 10 positions.

Your best 2 of the last 3 years count.

So .... you are correct, seeding is based on National rally results with a national licence. However there is a 'Regional' seed list as well for seperate regional events.

Martin,

Good question, I haven't seen one in quite a while. It was Peter Hill at one time. Either him or Dave Sharp should be able to help us.

Also, it may only be a "Rallywest" list.
