After an exhaustive 15 minute survey the crack-scientists at Seed 9 Labs have been able to determine the following reasons as to why hardcore cave dwelling rally types dislike him. The dislike of Travis seems most intense among Simca , ZAZ and DAF drivers.

1. He makes more money doing a single back flip on a dirt bike then I will all year.

2. He spent more money doing back flips in a rally car then I make in a single year

3. "His" navie will still get in the car after a roll over

4. He's had 1 Navie and 7 rolls

5. I've had 7 Navies and 1 roll.

6. He rolled 6 times and had a fresh car in 2 weeks.

7. I rolled 2 times and 6 years later I'm still rebuilding the car.

8. Pastrana & Edstrom looks better on the side of the car then Neal & Bob

9. He is Athletic , Young , Fast and Chicks think he's hot.

10. I'm Old, Bald, Slow and my wife thinks he's Hot.

That's the thing. Its awful hard to dislike the "Travis Smiley Show."

He presents himself as such a happy-go-lucky guy with a smile for any occasion.

And I don't think its an act. As soon as he wins some rallies he'll put all the naysayers to rest and will have the missing piece to be the quintissential youthful ambassador of our sport.

I still think I should have pursued my college career (aspiring rock star) and I may have a lot more sponsorship opportunities now. :)

Maybe I just need a different Codriver. "Hello Ted? Hi Mr. Nugent. Would you be interested in riding shotgun in a car hurtling thru the woods? No, not a Bronco...an import car (click) ...Hello?...Hello?..."

Maybe I need a different driver. "Hello Ted, would you be interested in driving your Bronco hurtling thru the woods and running over imports?"

Anyone else see Travis's TV show. Think it was Country Music Channel but don't remember where I saw it. Last episode I saw had Travis & Cowboy Kenny each build a rally-type beater and try to jump a large waterfilled 'hole'. And Weegie Smith broke his leg or something I think on a motorcycle. Don't know if they've showed any real rally coverage on the show yet.

Eric, not too late to paint the Mazda Zebraflauge.

Actually, with that paint-job, don't you think Paladin Motorsports should get a cut?

Yeah, I ran across that channel surfing. It was on CMT. I thought it was kind of dumb but entertaining nonetheless. I'm sure teenage boys think it's great. It's called "X-treme Travis Pastrana's X-tremely Stupid X-treme Stunts. X-treme Edition." or something like that. I liked where the producer got nervous and wanted to pull the plug on the stunt because he was afraid the car might get stuck upside down in the water. But Travis, with his many years of wisdom and experience doing such things convinced him that no way in a million years could the car even possibly get stuck upside down in the water. The producer relented but they had to take a SCUBA class and wear SCUBA gear while doing the jump. So what happens? The car gets stuck upside down in the water, of course!

I'm not a hater, I wish I had a TV show where they paid me lots of money to do stupid stuff like that.

You forgot to add that he is a super cool and down-to-earth guy, especially considering how everyone wants something from him.

He's never been anything but nice to me.

he will also do more in the next year to advance and expose our sport than any of us could ever do.

What happened to the pilot for your show? "Silly Stunts With Dave" Starring the super intelligent and mature potato gun and we can't forget the weed whacker powered banana seat bicycle.

Point is, everyone likes to have fun. What's better, doing something stupid and having fun or just doing something stupid?
