- The last remaining real "Pro" racing series is gone; SCCA sold TransAm to Paul Gentilozzi for a pocket change after give-away deal (SCCA called it "lease" but wasn't...) with Panoz & Co didn't work out.
- First they run down world's finest sports car series - CanAm, then #2 open wheel series - Formula 500, and now TransAm.
- What's left? Amateur road racing. That they do well.
- ProRally? There hasn't been anything "Pro" ever and never will under SCCA umbrella. We better find a dictator who knows his/her stuff and to start fresh. Maybe it's time to jump to USAC, like Ramada Rally guys did?
- What we need is Chris Pook or Don Panoz type to run it like a business.
PS. There is a new SCCA series called Pro something but it's D-O-A thanks to a strange idea to have the SAME chassis for open and closed wheel cars! That'll guarantee SCCA Enterprises to stay red for ever.
