Investors?

Do they mean stakeholders--as in people with a vested interest like organizers?

Or is there some sort of Iran-Contra thing going on here where the New World Order has decided to find other sources of funding? I guess there will be one more set of books that the membership won't get to see. }>

Both crew for Doug Havir. Kristi is certainly not JB Niday's girlfriend. Both are friends of mine.

RE: SCCA Press Release ?????????

Am I just being unusually dense today or does this press release not say anything at all? I guess I missed the announcement about when and where this meeting would take place and whether any other parties would be interested in participating. Bueller? JB? Anyone? :)

RE: SCCA Press Release ?????????

There was no announcement, because it was secret. Shh.

I wanted to invest too, but nobody would answer my calls and they locked the door at the meeting place. I was waving cash in the window, but they calmly walked over and closed the blinds. I was camping the heli-pad waiting for the SCCA BigWhigs (tm) but they used one of those Segway things and I couldn't keep up with them.

I think you'll find this is news to pretty much all of the organizational types here in MN. I guess there was some goal to be achieved that might have been more difficult should any dissenting opinions have been presented.

Certainly if the leadership of SCCA wanted to get feedback regarding the series, events and operations, they should have made this opportunity known to the greater group.

I also agree, the press release says nothing of any substance beyond informing us after the fact that the meeting took place. It specifically avoids mentioning the purpose of said meeting and what if anything it accomplished.. Very Hollywood

I don't call that list very "independant"....

anyone on that list care to comment, or is it just going to remain one huge secret after another with the PRD.

Wonder if CARS would consider sanctioning stuff in Arizona... :)

(that last part was a joke, in case anyone was wondering)...

Guess the Pro Rally Organizer Council (my name for it, where all the Pro organizers got in a room and started talking to each other and forming plans for OUR series) wasn't good enough to be recognized...

Bill,

Your "Pro Rally Organizer Council" (hereinafter PROC) was detected by the "Pro Rally Organizer Council Terrorist Organization Level One Group Identification Specialist Two" (aka PROCTOLOGIST) and you know what happens when a PROCTOLOGIST gets ahold of you.   (after a while if you know what's good for you, you start to like it :D )

Jim, John, etc.

Do you guys think this is real or has someone been playing spoof the AOL mail headers?

Also, apologies to JB and his girlfriend. Hope she doesn't read the board and think he is...well... you know...two timing her. ;-)

I checked the email headers with previous emails I have received. I also left voicemail for Kurt. Neither of these actions has given me reason to think it is a fake press release. Yet.

RE: Mail Headers

i think the press release is real for the simple fact that, that is the usual bullshit we are used to hearing from the scca.
I am studying my code reading books right now to try to decipher what the hell that was supposed to mean.

And further more, if i wanted to discuss the performance rally fucture of this country, I guess thats not the crowd i'd talk to with the exception of Bruce and Beryl ann.
What do the rest of them have to do with the big picture?

RE: Mail Headers

Actually it's a great press release, it's says: We had a meeting to decide that we think we are doing a good job and then decided to schedule another meeting to decide what action we should take at the next meeting following the one we just scheduled. It's all perfectly clear.:+

RE: SCCA Press Release ?????????

I fielded a call from a friend at a national car mag asking:

"what does this say" while I think I know what it is supposed to say, I could not say that it said anything.

That press release says nothing, however there might be something to be said in a few weeks.

RE: Mail Headers

- Thanks John for finding these secret infos, time after time, and sharing them with rest of us. I usually find out what's going on with the SCCA by reading PRI News, SEMA News and Autosport...
- Somehow they never end up on the SportsCar
