Ah, yes. GM has a long and storied history of building rally cars. My all time favorite is the Chevy Rally STX van. 2nd would be the Chevette Rallye, featuring a powerful 60 hp 1.6l engine.

I have never even considered owning a Saturn - until I saw those pics -- very cool (I'll dream it has engine and drivetrain worth having).

Of course I said the same thing about an Aztec until last weeks Auto-week.

Both cars have the same problem -- I'll never be able to go to a dealer and just buy one.

whoops - never mind. I thought this was going to be an interesting discussion about rallying on other planets...

Which begs the question, why did GM name these cars after the planet Saturn when they look like Uranus?

GM is trying to wipe-up the Klingon market.

I have it on fairly decent authority that when it comes to racing if it doesn't go around and around or if it isn't a truck, GM isn't interested...

Yes the Aztek with the C5R motor was pretty non Aztek and I would drive one.
Isn't this the second attempt at a Saturn rally car? The first attempt was the one shown in the Mischief movie with someone jumping speed bumps.

it was showed at the woodward car show/hot rod run and was showen on "Hot Rod TV" and from the sound of it, it seams like saturn(GM) will support the car. oh yeah and it looks better than stock
