Hello All,

Nate Tennis got terrific results in his 1973 Saab 99 at the back-to-back Coefficient 3 Dryad Quest/Shitepoke ClubRallys in Washington this past weekend. 4th overall Saturday and 7th/overall Sunday. WOW!!

Take a look at his results against the modern competition at: http://www.bensrallypage.com/results_02/results_02.html

Nate is a terrific young man who has really learned how to drive that old 99! They are both a credit to the sport and wonderful to watch.

For several years when I was still publisher of NINES, I tried to get Nate - or someone - to write up his rally exploits, how he built the car, anything. Result? Nothing, nada, zip, zero.

Info on NINES is at www.SaabClub.com.

BTW, does anyone recall the historical significance of the number 283 on Nate's Saab?

RE: Historical significance of #283

Just off the top of my head, isn't that the number Erik Carlsson's '62(?) Monte Carlo Rallye winner?

"Mr. SAAB" is on a shelf about 20 miles away....
