Mt Gleason was run in both directions one time.
I think one of the Delaquesta brothers got a top 3 or even
top over all time in the Corrolla. Paul Choinere mentioned it
might have been way too fast and Paula G. said she would never let us run it downhill again.
In 1991 Messenger Flat and Magic Mountain were introduced to the rally community at a (then) divisional rally called Treeline, which was organized by Lon Peterson, Dan Hook and Sam Moore, who were the original ones to find and obtain these stages. I ran them that year in a Mazda 323GTX with Dr. Dave White at the wheel (we would later roll while leading overall, but we did finish). It was only two years later after the Treeline organizers wanted to discover new roads that these stages became part of Rim.
