Competitors considering Targa Newfoundland in September are reminded of three free "pre-tech" inspection and evaluation sessions this month. The sessions are designed to help competitors determine what -- if anything -- they need to do to their cars prior to technical scrutineering for the rally.
Three experienced preparation shops, in Ontario, Quebec and New England, will examine the cars and counsel competitors. The sessions are at:
Four Star Motorsports -- April 5 and 6
345 Guelph Street
Georgetown, Ontario, Canada
tel (905)877-1733
Vermont Sports Cars -- April 12 and 13
506 Hercules Drive
Colchester, Vermont, USA
tel (802)655-3533
Jon Nichols Motorsports
145 - 20th Avenue
Lachine, Quebec, Canada
tel (514)634-6330
The 2002 Targa Newfoundland rally will start and finish in St. John's, Newfoundland, and cover 2,300 kilometres of tarmac route, including more than 500 kilometres of high speed Targa stages. More information is available at www.targanewfoundland.com
