One more Ramada behind us, I would like to thank the organisers, Allisons, Hockers, Gibeaults, each and every one of the incredibly dedicated volunteers, especially "Mike the EMT" who's professional approach was beyond belief, the radio crews, our felow competitors, MTCs, you girls rock, and the Hualapai Nation for accepting us to their land.

Thank you all for making it possible for us to rally.

See you all next time.

John,

Another failed attempt at humor on your part.If you actually showed up and did something to help put on a rally you would not make that kind of remark. Everyone involved worked their behinds off to make it a successful event. The first thing Ray Hocker did at the awards banquet was to have the volunteers stand and receive a round of applause from all in attendance. Thanks Ray,it meant a lot to all of us. Mustafa, Thank You for the kind words. You're Welcomed.

Hey Bill,
it's my friend Mustafa who recieved a threatening email from a former SCCA offical warning him that the SCCA official would do everything in his power to ban Mustafa for life cuase he didn't like the tone in some dialoge that Mustafa had been engaged in (Mustafa is one of those hot blooded Mediterranean Turkish savage types)(and a F***ing lawyer!)
so the reference to DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION was to MUSTAFA, Bill whoever the hell you are.
See he's a very nice guy who sometimes when he's pissed off will momemtarily get excited, then he calms down and then he can joke about even his biggest dumb blunders.
So here he was showing the normal side of himself and I thought it would be amusing to kid him about the really stupid t email he had gotten.
How you could read that as a slight againt the event is beyond me.

As for getting out to events, when I have time off I want a break from rally cars.
Here's a brief list of yesterdays rally related crap:
Pick up Morten's Gp2 head from welding repair
Drop off Scott Ks mounting bracket at welder down the road, drop off fittings for Grg K fuel rail
Check with laser Cutting joint on staus of the pile of skidplae mounts and towing eyes for 7 guys cars.
Drop off cam bearings and rods for Pail W GpH car
Check all 7 valves for Mortens head for straightness
Write emails to the boys asking about suspenders for their cars
Answer calls from Jake H next car
Talk to Jose about Gp2 Corrola suspenders
0900 to 21.30 rally rally rally.
When I get time off i want to go do something non rally.

You don't like the lame attempts at humor??
Fine.
Lots of folks do.
I don't like lame attempts at reading.

An e-mail? Mustafa must be a lightweight. I once received a phone call from SCCA rally HQ because they didn't like what I said.

A couple of years later some guy up in Canada didn't like what I said about Subarus. He was really upset, and contacted SCCA, Subaru, Spitzner, and the PRB to try to get my scrutineer's license revoked. I don't know what happened after that, because I got out of rally sometime around then. My ProRally license expired, and I don't think I renewed it. The whole thing was really funny.

>Check all 7 valves for Mortens head for straightness

"all 7"? What kind of car has 7 valves?

John,

Since you know so much about a situation which does not involve you, why don't you post a copy of my and Mr. Samli's e-mails?

The situation is far less amusing without your embellishment /spin / half truths.

You know, I find John funny...but I also laugh at Pete Morris from time to time, so take that with a grain of salt.

Honestly, what's with all the thread crapping these days? Here, in the Classified section, seems everyone has their panties in a knot:

Jeeeeezzzuuuuzzzz !

I'm nice I get in trouble.

I'm not nice I get in trouble.

I understand and appreciate John's humour, that's all.

Mike H. the email you are talking about is dicussed in different circles amongst people more competant than you and I combined, John only knows about it, he does not have a copy therefore he can't post it. I will not post a copy even though I have one saved and certified, however the author can post it if the author choses to do so. I see no need to rekindle this issue I attribute to misinformation (see I am being nice again I'll probably get in trouble).

This topic is not the place to start stirring things up. I am sincerely thankful to everybody involved in Ramada, it was a great event, a great party and a great group of people. I whish we had two Ramadas every year.

On the other hand I would fully sponsor JVL and Pete Morris if they would agree to run it together next year in a SAAB but with full telecast from their intercoms. }> }> }>

Have fun people.

Cheers

...and neither do I.

I don't mind being quoted, it's being mis-quoted (by John) I detest.

That's a good one!!!

- Maybe I could fabricate cop-car type wire net between them?... no, that doesn't stop spit. Maybe a glass? Nope, that doesn't stop bullets... maybe a bullet proof Lexan? That's it! Like in my infamous North Hollywood Bank of America now.

I read through all the blah blah blah and then thought I'd go right back up to the top and reply directly to my friend M. Samli.

Mustafa, I'm sorry Mom and I beat you and Dean. But not that sorry. You guys were the ones who said you didn't want to get beat by a girl! :) Psst: drive faster! :)

Seriously, though, it was great to see you guys and hang out as much as we did. You are such a trouble maker, but you come by it honestly. I'm sorry I missed the Saturday night fling-ding, the Tabor drivers and co-drivers went on a quest for steak. :) It was important, at the time.

Mom and I had a good time competing, and I'm sure if Dad had kept in on the road more he also would have had as good a time as we did! :)

Big, huge, thanks to our service crew. Ben Not Bradley, Sam (I call those 2 "Barret's boys"); Gerald, Tim, Marshall, Doug and Bill... you guys rocked! I cannot thank you enough for taking such good care of us, that we didn't ever have to worry about anything. And keeping things organized and clean... Yeah, it was great.

:) Thanks to all you folks I got to meet and hang out with and compete with, and who worked to put on such a great event: organizers and workers all!

:) KT

Naaaah, don't go there sister. :p

You drove fantastic, clean and fast. Which gives you the bragging rights, until next year at least.

Again congrats for a fantastic performance, it was great. Next year please reevaluate your priorities, passing on a party for a steak dinner is highly unacceptable and there may be consequences and repercussions.

Cheers
