January 29 Update:
Only five days to go until the rallycross on ice. Regarding the multiple requests for ice reports: we will announce an official thickness once samples have been taken, but weather and temperatures do look favorable for the event. Please remember, everyone helping with the ice reports are volunteers, so daily updates are not possible, if and when there is firm news we will pass it on.
With the date change we've managed to fit in all of those on the wait list! But today I also had two more cancellations. This means that I have TWO spots left to fill, and I'll be accepting the first two entries in my email inbox (either by the entry form at http://rallybc.com/RallyX/2013/2013_RallyX_entryform.doc or the online form at http://rallybc.com/wcra/sss_rx/survey.php ). So if you've got friends who want to come race, get them on it right away!

Hello everyone,
Unfortunately mother nature is not cooperating with our first event January 20th, current ice conditions are highly unfavourable. The current temperature in the area of the lake has created poor ice conditions in both depth and density. Weather reports look favorable for future events as ice thickness has tripled in the past three weeks, however the current rate will not allow for our January 20th event.
Our alternative day for the first Barnes event is Saturday Febuary 2nd. To ensure fair process, current competitor entries will be honored provided they re-confirm by email to: [email protected] by Thursday January 17th at 5:00pm. After that, wait list entries will be contacted to fill available spots. Please respond by email whether you intend to come to the February 2nd Rallyx or not. I want to make sure that everyone has gotten this email and nobody heads up to Ashcroft next weekend!
And please remember to re-book your hotel rooms for the new weekend.
Keep your fingers crossed, we hope to see you all on the lake!

Ever raced on a frozen lake? NOW is your chance!
WCRA brings the Rallyx back to our venue near Ashcroft for another ice-crackling good time (complete with bad jokes, you supply the jokes).
Details:
What: A rallycross! On ice!
When: January 20th, 2013, 8:00-16:30
Where: Near Ashcroft, BC (directions can be found in the supp regs)
How: Read the supp regs and download the registration form at www.rallybc.com , email registration to [email protected]
Why: Because it's fun!
There have been MANY changes to the supp regs this year, PLEASE read them thoroughly. We have also been asked by other users of the venue to NOT call it by it's name on ANY social media. So if you're posting here, on Facebook, on Twitter, or posting any videos on Youtube, or any other kind of internet-y things, PLEASE only refer to it as "Rallyx on Ice". The actual location can by found in the supp regs - if anyone asks simply direct them there.
Please remember to bring:
- a tarp - any vehicle on location, competing or not, MUST have a tarp underneath.
- helmet - SNELL 2000M or 2000SA or newer. Please check the year on your helmet, 1995 is not longer valid.
- completed registration form, or pre-register by emailing a completed form to [email protected] - saves you fiddling about with a pen and paper in the cold.
- EXACT CHANGE - Registrar does not always have change to hand back on location.
- vehicle registration, current insurance, and valid driver's license of anyone planning to drive
- bad jokes
As mentioned before, supp regs have changed a little, including vehicle classes! Please read over them at rallybc.com
Because of the nature of the course, the event may be cancelled if it's deemed unsafe. Please be sure to supply a sure way of contacting you during pre-registration, in case this does happen (phone number is best).
Registration, questions, and anything else can be emailed to [email protected]
