There was a short piece in the Oregonian (our local paper) on Sunday regarding a rally death. The piece is as follows:

"Peter Spusta's car skidded off the road and crashed into a tree, killing the Slovak driver during an international auto rally in the central Slovakian city of Banska Bystrica, organizers said.

"The Seat Rally Banska Bystrica was canceled after the accident. Spusta's navigator suffered minor injuries."

Just FYI; looks like other organizers have the same sort of problems we do! :(

And no, Jens, there was no mention of the safety aspect. I was frankly surprised to see it in the paper, and had to go hunt it down after a co-worker of my boyfriend mentioned it to him.
