>Oh, forgot to mention, they call it AMERICAN RALLY instead of
>RALLY AMERICA. So, close, but no cigar.
HA! Actually, the title of the article is "Rally in America" which I got a kick out of... and for those of you who think every article is biased one way or the other, this article also discusses the NASA RallySport events and TV coverage.
There are actually two articles out this month on the status of rally in the states, which I think are being confused here.
They are 'Rally in America' in Performance Business (www.performancebiz.com) and 'Off-Road & Rally Racing Report' in Performance Racing Industry. Both are September 2005 issues. Both are knowledgable and accurate with some great quotes from good sources.
The article focuses on off-road, for the most part. The rally section deals mainly with the USRC and the SCCA's rallycross program. The only mention close to Rally America is "SCCA handed its stage rally program over to American Rally" which is the line that is referred to above.
