Does anybody know if Rally America has been able to secure insurance for next season?

Licensing requirement for newbies mean absolutely nothing if don't have insurance.

Two companies have reviewed the loss run numbers, and are putting together quotes. A couple of others have said without question "No way". We hope to have some numbers by the end of next week. So for now, we've been told that we will be insurable, but your guess is as good as ours as to what the cost will end up being.

We'll let you all know as soon as we've got it nailed down.

Cheers,

I don't know what you can or are willing to tell us, but at some point I would like to know:

1. What companies turned you (us) down.

2. What the final cost is.

I'm only curious, and have no agenda.

Doug:

Thank you for your response. Hope you have an answer soon, as we need to make plans for next year.

Jens--You may have no agenda...but others may have.

Respect R-A's privacy. It is not a membership club and if they cannot show that they can keep certain things confidential, they will have a hard time doing business.

Cheers.

Hmmm... I don't know that it's anything top-secret necessarily, but I'm going to at least wait until we have a policy before I say anything more. If Mr. Niday can't find a reason why we wouldn't share what companies we looked at, or what the cost structure is, then I'm good with letting you know. If he has a reason, then there's a reason, so we'll see.

Cheers,
-Doug

Edit: Joe, you're absolutely correct about being able to keep things confidential. But I don't think, at least personally, that insurance companies and costs are going to damage anyone if we share them.
