Who's paying? Subaru? Mitsu? TVMusic4U? :)

What was it that got the deal done? As others have posted, Speedvision/Channel wasn't too keen on showing the U.S. rallies. Why did they change their mind?

What concessions, if any, were made by SCCA? Is any of our money being used for this?

Should we all be calling some manufacturer or another to thank them for writing a big check, or what?

I don't personally know the full details of the deal, or what exactly it took to sway Speed Channel to broadcast the show. But I do know a few things.

Everyone should stop by a service and thank the manufacturer's for all cutting a HUGE check to get the program produced and aired for 2002.

None of our club membership money went to the program.

And, I heard a rumor that one of the Manufacturer's suggested that Speed Channel broadcasts our program or that said manufacturer would be pulling all 15 million dollars of it's advertising on FOX.

One other things that I should say is. Kurt worked hard on getting this deal done for us. Both by helping the Manufacturer's to see the value and potential in Rally, and then to help Speed Channel realize that they have a sport in the US that is on the verge of extreme popularity.
