I assume you mean "more *OR* less comfortable." And that begs the question...more or less comfortable than what? Burlap?

Current SCCA rules state:

FIA homologated 8856-2000, 8856-1986 or SFI 3-2A/5 driving suits are
recommended. SFI 3-2A/1 suits with approved fire resistant underwear
are acceptable.

Nathan...

I think specifics (i.e. manufacturer, materials, etc) would help people to give you some constructive feedback.

My personal opinion is multi-layer Nomex is the way to go. I do not find it to be uncomfortable (compared to other materials) and in some cases is more comfortable because it does wick moisture away from the body. I also feel it is a safer material over time because it does not loose it's retardancy when washed (unlike materials that are treated to make them flame retardant).

Edit--sorry, I was misinformed.

I would suggest going to www.gforce.com and requesting a catalog. Their print catalog has detailed information about the different materials that isn't on the website.

Hope this helps,
Eric

From the input here you guys have convinced to to get the nomex, but where does it say that non-nomex isnt allowed in the rules?

Thanks,
