Havir/Putnam withdrawn. Air-cooled blocks don't run well.

Robbie Unser tried the same thing. ;-)

Jeff Becker is not co-driving for Choiniere this weekend, John Benie is in the car with him.

At Headwaters one of the TAD crew told me that Rory Kennedy was unlikely to co-drive for Seamus Burke at STPR due to a hip/pelvis injury sustained in a rally in Ireland.

Anyone have any details? Is Kennedy there and co-driving?

According to a crew member, Kennedy is out and will be out for quite a while. His pelvis is broken in three places and his legs are broken. Gordon Noble is subbing.

Thanks Bob!

The information given to me a couple of weeks ago indicated that Kennedy had been badly injured, but since I had not seen any change in the entry list I began to wonder....

I am off to view the World Motorcycle Trials (a.k.a. Observed Trials)at Spirit Mountain in Duluth. 32 riders from around the world, primarily from Spain, balancing their motorcycles on rocks and trees and climbing waterfalls.

The water crossing is at the maximum level, 12", and it will be run. During practice yesterday there was hail and rain. Today there is a 30% chance of rain. Course is expected to be fast and slippy in some spots. More news as it comes in...

After SS3

At the end of SS3, some news is rolling in.

SS1: Mark Higgins won the stage with what has been reported to be a record time of 5:01. Seamus Burke launched into the trees on a 5th gear corner and has withdrawn from the event. No injuries have been reported.

SS2: Tim Patterson put his car on it's roof and has withdrawn. No injuries reported.

SS3: Mark Higgins is out, reason unknown at this time. Karl Scheible completed the stage on a flat tire, losing time. Rhys Millen is reported to have engine management problems on his new EVO 7, running the event down on horsepower.

The weather is bright and sunny, but clouds are rolling in. There is a chance of thunderstorms tonight. More news as we get it.

RE: After SS3

<<Mark Higgins is out>>>

There goes my #1 pick already. Why do I continue to bet on him?
