Who's cars? Who's shop? We want to know...*I* want to know.

The top pic, the orange pumpkin, looks suspiciously like a SAAB 96...2 stroke or V4? Interesting cage work around the B-pillar.

- That's my Escort!!
- I miss the car....but at least it's finally getting some "air time"

- The SAAB's nice, too.
- When gas's getting $ 2.50/gal SAAB's unik "Free wheel" is coming handy!
(Saab has a neat system; lift the gas and tranny disengages= better gas milage. Plus you can shift without the clutch - handy for left-foot brakers.)

can't wait to see it in its element on gravel... drew crowds just idling thru the motel parking lot!
Good Luck Brady!

Damn! Thats a nice looking Escort. Makes me miss mine. Sure wish that I could afford to bring it over. What's the spec on the car? I see it has a 2.0 with Esslinger adjustable Cam gear and Gp. 4 strut tops. Does it have an SCCA legal cage or is it still the original Ford Motorsport cage?

I didn't look too closely at the cage but the Escort makes all the right noises. Mark Viskov put the engine together so it should be making some nice reliable power.

They're running a 3.77 rear end, can't remember what box ratios they're running but the 2.0 should have enough grunt to pull it out of most corners.

The Cortina won't be at Doo **** 1/2 (too tired after Alcan and too many little things to fix on Cortina) but we'll try for Oregon Trail.

PS looks like I may not make OT due to family commitments. That's 2 years in a row now....

That is a very sharp '96. I was going to run T-Bird last year but it had teething problems and we never made it out of Portland. But we gave it a valiant effort, including an engine pull. We might have made it but the crew ran out of energy, If Akenys have gone thru it, it will be a very nice car. It sure is red.

I still want to nav a rally in a "96. JOHN, are you listening? I also would like to run in a citroen. Or anything vintage.
