I originally joined the forum back in 2010 with the plans to build an Audi Coupe GT for rally but that fell apart quick due to job related issues.

Twelve years later I'm now living outside Portland, OR building a Subaru GC with the plan to enter Oregon Trail Rally in 2023. I've got my GC Rally Build Bible PDF and the car is about to come back from a local Subaru specialist with a brand new motor.

Now looking for suspension but it seems like a lot of the options out there no longer exist, would love some insight on what the best options are now.

Looking forward to learning more here!

That's awesome man, i just joined the other day and I'm excited to see everyone builds and plans. Maybe get some inspiration for a future build of my own. I'm up in Olympia so not to far from you, although I don't know alot about good specs for rally, im pretty familiar with the GC platform (I've owned 2) so if I'm in the area and you need some extra hands for the build I'd love to help you. Good luck and I hope it all goes smooth so we see you out there in 2023 馃

Hey Jake! Cool to see another person close by with GC experience. I'm sure I'll have questions so I'll keep you in mind with the next problem I have

Any plans to attend local rallycrosses? My plan is to run the car at NW Rally Association events as I build it to just get some seat time in, maybe I'll see you at one!

More than likely, I also plan on attending a few hillclimbs. I want to run my civic at Maryhill and the hillclimb in Ashland but we'll see what happens. I'll probably go check out the rallycross at dirtfish but won't compete, maybe next year for me

Nice I've been wanting to try Maryhill as well, didn't know about the Ashland one I'll have to look into it.
