Subject: NEED TOYOTA RALLY CAR FOR TV COMMERCIAL!!!

Hello gentlemen,

I work for Toyota Canada and we need your help to locate a Toyota
Rally Car (Celica or Corolla) to be used in a TV commercial for
Toyota.

If you know anyone who has a Toyota rally or rally-like car, could you
please contact me at 416-929-9700 x243 as soon as possible? We would
be interested in renting or buying the vehicle, but we need to know in
the next few days whether this is possible. Thanks.

Cheers,

Aurelio

"rally-like"... hmmmm.....

I hope someone has a hybrid with a cage that they can slap some rally stickers on.

Opportunity has come a knockin', boys and girls.

What about Adam Trinders drift Corolla? That could be a look-alike. Vancouver, BC.

> Or are there 2 keg taps?

Ket taps in a Rally Car.... Hmmmm...

Does that constitute an "open container"?

I think I could live with the added weight. I mean, considering it would get lighter as the race went on.

Interesting idea. ;)

I have e-mailed him and left him a message on his cell. Think he is on vacation for the holidays.

It would be nice to see Toyota use all those cars, plus Ralph Kosmides old Supra. Sort of a rally history timeline showing the performance and reliability of the cars. Who's got an All-Trac?

Jeff Field is clearly the answer here. Attractive late-model car, great results in his class -- and if the price is right, maybe this sale helps a good driver move into a faster ride. :)

It's not a sale thing. They are looking to rent the car for a couple of days while they shoot the commercial. Shooting is from the 9th to the 13th, a couple of days will be the Rally car.

They didn't share with me what the point of the new commecial is, what they are advertising, but I think the fact they want to stress a Rally Car in interesting.

Maybe a new All-Trac sport coupe? We can hope.

Anyway, the shoot is in California despite the fact Dentsu is in Eastern Canada. Odd. Anyway, Dentsu is an AD Agency and Toyota is their client. At first, I had thought it was Toyota themselves that were doing this. But Toyota's "official" ad agency is just as good, right?

I'm so curious as to what they are promoting. I had heard that Toyota was re-releasing the name "GT-Four" (J-Specs rebadge for "All-Trac") here in the states soon. The new car, apparnetly, is NOT a coupe but rather the Toyota Matrix WAGON with 4WD.

That could be it.... I don't know.

That's what I know and speculate.

If you're talking Southern California and Toyota, why not go to Rhys Millen (and Dad)? They've done Toyota GT4 cars, even a mule with a GT4 in a semi-current body-style.
