Hi there,

Any chance you guys could create a mobile-friendly version of SpecialStage.com when you have time?

Shouldn't be too difficult if you mirror the main version of specialstage.com at e.g. m.specialstage.com or mobile.specialstage.com, or auto-detect mobile devices or browsers, and then perform some server-side filtering for mobile devices.

Doing the mirrored approach instead of auto-detecting would have the additional advantage of effectively creating a 'lite' version of specialstage.com which could be useful for anyone still using dialup or some other type of slow connection.

Thanks.

If one just does some server-side filtering, rather than designing a site fully optimized for a mobile experience, it actually looks pretty easy to accomplish.

Step 1: Set up a domain mirror
Step 2: Create global_prepend file
Step 3: Create global_append file
Step 4: Enable global_prepend and global_append files using .htaccess

See: http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/archive/2005/07/make-your-site-mobile-friendly

[End of step 2 details the server-side filtering possible to make a site more mobile-friendly]
