For some reason, the 2003 Mitsu plan is being handled by Garrett Mudd at the SCCA. They are doing a Plan A and Plan B again, only this year Plan A will be E7-8, while Plan B is E6 and lower. Payouts have better than doubled. We were the highest finishing privateer Mitsu at SnoDrift and theoretically picked up $1200 on Plan B, and woulda picked up $2k on Plan A. I say "theoretically" becuz I haven't recieved a check yet. Apparently the deal is done, ready to go, but Mitsu is dragging their feet on signing it. I threatened to rip all the Mitsu stickers off the car and paint it Subaru blue if Mitsu didn't sign, so far it hasn't worked........

Patiently waiting,

The official word is "don't hold your breath". The US spec Evo 8 is WAYYYY different than the VII and 8 sold in the rest of the world. Homologation is very expensive, and how many guys are gonna build GrN cars, 10 or 15? There is a chance Mitsu may do it, but the numbers don't add up. Off course if they do, I'm there dude!

That may be true for the world-wide homologation. Don't assume that the US-spec Evo 8 will actually match the homologation in all aspects. The WRX didn't.
