The guy has been beating several WRC regulars and is 9th overall. He was 7th overall on the first actual forest stage, so it isn't just about attrition. This is a cool benchmark to let us know just how fast the top guys in US rallying are going now!

Hyandai-Higgings is going really well! Maybe top 6 overall?
- Loeb is very fast too. His best gravel rally for sure.
- BTCC champ Thompson in GrN is shining as well, looks like podium

That's an ex-works WRC Focus, as I recall...He got 2nd best time on at least one stage. I also saw that he placed 5th at last year's Rally GB, so he's got proven consistency!

McCrea hasn't been a good benchmark for the last few events... seems to me his head has been out of it with all the mistakes. Good for Higgins anyway. It's cool to know I've seen at least one of the top 6 blast past me in person! Did they make that Focus ugly on purpose? ;)

RE: Jeff Gordon

Oh yeah, right, too bad it's not the good Gordon, you know, Robby Gordon. Remember he set the fastest time at one of those things.

let's see jeff Gordon race desert trucks, desert buggies, Trans-am, Indy cars and nascar circle burners competitivly. Robby Gordon has done all of these and most likely others that I'm not aware of. I've seen Robby run the desert stuff in person, VERY fast! I guess I'm not too impressed with the nascar boys, sorry.

RE: Jeff Gordon

Hey. If Troy Lee can win at LSPR, I'm sure Jeff Gordon can win too.
(As long as he also has Paula Gibeault as a co-driver!!)

Are we really sure that Troy was actually driving? That wasn't you driving was it Paula? Making some kinda switcha-roo huh??

Jim Wright

P.S. I only joke about it for the fact I've known Troy way before he even could afford a car to drive and that he's a pretty intence racer, two or four wheels. Congrats "Old Man"!

And congrats to you as well Paula!

RE: Jeff Gordon

About Troy Lee at LSPR, I was one of the guys doing service on his car (and the other Hyundai's). I will vouch for Troy, that he was indeed driving and Paula was doing her, as always, great job of giving notes.
