***REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN***
This year marks the 10th anniversary of an SCCA Sanctioned Lake Superior ProRally. The Lake Superior Region officially assumed production of this premiere ProRally event in 1994. For 2004, we continue with our well-tuned roots: two-day format, the Ottawa National Forest, and the Keweenaw Peninsula.

OK - I have visited the website. Everything I looked at was still dated from 2003. Am I in the wrong place? Or is it still in need of update?

So sorry, please accept my appologies. Thought site would be up by the first of this week. Forms also found at SCCA.com and can be downloaded and snail-mailed. Will try to improve communication. Further questions? You can always email me at >[email protected]< Again, my appologies.

Is this (SpecialStage) the only channel where this info is available? One event at a time? I assume this means no Club & Pro dual entry? Is the "Forms" link updated? (I see it still says "2003 awards brunch registration"...am I entering the 2003 or the 2004 event on that page?)

The supp regs are still 2003 regs.

The page under the "Competitor Information" link has this message and nothing else:
"2004 information will be posted in late August."
My calendar says September 21st today.

LSPR Organizers: Maybe I'm being denser than normal here but why is there an opportunity to enter the Prorally AND BOTH ClubRallys if you can only compete in one event at a time? If you are in the first day of the ProRally, why would you possibly enter the first ClubRally?

...and if you add Notes, $885 for Club early entry.

Mike, would you mind sharing what sort of entry fee numbers you see in that crystal ball of yours? If they are gonna make $885 look cheap, that is very scary for the future viability of the sport.

I honestly don't know, but the entry fee trend of the past few years is hardly downward. I remembers complaints about entry fees in 1995, but those look pretty cheap now.

and contingency.

But that's only true if you can enter both the ClubRally and the ProRally AT THE SAME TIME (which was Lurch's original question). BTW, the rulebook says that you can enter both if they run concurrently.

I think what the organizers were trying to say is that you must submit a separate entry form for each event entered. That's what I inferred from the information, but then everyone knows my thought processes tend to be a bit "unusual", so I may be wrong (completely).

The trend in entry fees doesn't come as a surprise, really.

However, if they do continue to rise above what they are now, the sanctioning body MUST find a way to help subsidize the cost. Competitors will not be able to take on this financial burden alone.

Clinton,
We have not had to limit the number of entries in the past. We usually have about 68-70 cars. PayPal and online registration should be up by the end of the week. Yes, if you send your completed registration information and US$1125 by 10/6 you will be entered into the ProRally and BOTH ClubRallys. The one event at a time is a phrase used to prevent a one driver/two cars or a two drivers/one car scenario. Hope I have answered your questions. Feel free to ask more if need be.

RallyOn!
