RE: Lotus? Maybe not....

- This looks like a car I built for fellow VARA Historic racer 4-5 years ago
- It's was not a Lotus, just a clean '67 MkII
- Those Corolla GTS upper mounts look familiar.... I used Corolla GTS front strut inserts, etc
- This could be great Historic rally car

RE: Lotus? Maybe not....

Topi,

How close to "rally legal" is the cage? Why the inverted rear leaf springs? Know anything about that? Is the shell straight?

It's at Simon Horton's place--ranchocortina.com--in Devore.

RE: Lotus? Maybe not....

- The cage was built to VARA specs; A simple, nice and safe design. If it's SCCA rally legal nobody knows.... rules are written on quick sand.
- The body was the nicest I've seen. I found it parked & sitting for 10+ years and everything was 100% stock and perfect. ZERO rust!
- I don't know what they did for the rear suspension. Looks a total screw up to me. A low rider. That's easy to fix.
- I'd say for $ 1000 or less it's a steal!
