Does anyone have a link to a web page with technically oriented photos of WRC cars?

More specifically I?m looking for pics of WRC suspension, underbody, engine bay, etc.

Tons of pics out there of cars in action but not much of the nuts & bolts.

Thanx,
Darryl

Ahhhhh, aren't we all.
I think you will find that decnt shotsa and drawing are rare rare rare.
Occasionally the mag Racecar Engineering has a few shots.

Smarter people than you and I have decided that we all want to see and cover with lipstick dozens of smiling photos of the drivers since thats what they fill tthe magazines with.
Shame, I'd love to see a decent clear shot of the rear subframe and diff mounting for Sub-a-rat.

You would think with 100thousands of people atleast a few would be interested in the cars.

If you see me at a rally I'm the guy lying under the cars in parc ferme taking photos.

Darryl--The Rally Annuals (Rallycourse, etc.)--those big "Coffee Table" Books usually have neat technical sections with great pics.

It isn't the Internet, however.

yeah well you aren't the only one

at the following URL I have made a lot of very close up detailed photos of a lot of s1600 cars when I was 'touring' the jwrc last year trying to decide what car was good and why.

in any case, I was mostly concerned with parts that I care about, might not be what you care about, but anyhow, have a look. mostly rear suspension design, rear beams, (fronts are all the same mostly) subframes, etc.

i dont have time to make nice web pages or whatever so there is no fancy indexes, you have to look for yourself and find stuff. note that there is a lot there

there is also a few .avis of some action

you will note i was into seeing the hard braking on the long 45km + stage

the photos from parc ferme are all too dark so dont bother with those

RE: sanremo research trip

the trailing arm actually is very much like the stock pice but yeah a major box built up on it.

the rear beam as well !!

some of the stuff is the same as the WRC car on the s1600 car.
