WaaHooHaa!

Located in Snohomish, WA. That's our own backyard. :p

Glenn Wallace? Dave Kean? Peter VanBogart? JVL?

Anyone? Who owns this beauty?

might be John Street, a fellow that came to the first CCCP meeting, does IRDC roadracing, although he said his car came in from NZ.
Who know?
Roadracing, what a waste.

$8150 and Reserve Not Met !!!!

The expectations of the owner seem a bit unrealistic. If it was not wrong hand drive I might have been a player, heck for the right price I would still consider but obviously the owner is a bit too proud of the car.

I wish him best of luck.

Cheers

Aaaahhh, good to see a photo showing the proper order prevailing, and life as it should be.

Oi Mustafa, the firewall is NOT handed in Escorts, all you need is a Dash and a rack.

- Unrealistic price? Not at all....
- A good, drysumped and competative TwinCam costs $ 75-9500 right now!
- You can't build this car less than $ 15 000, starting with $ 1000 shell...
- I hope he gets that

Old thread, but anyways...we kept bumping into old Escorts all over the place in Cyprus. It was freaking us out. We were looking at TWO of them at a garage, and meanwhile, one drove by! They're all owned by former rally drivers. You can name your price for these in Britain.

On the historic rally car front, I dropped in to the David Sutton Museum. Man was it ever a rally car candy shop. Here's some of the trip babblings and photos:

John Street's car went for $21-22k if I recall..... I actually inspected it for the new owner. It is a "proper" car, well set up.

Jim Froula's car is pretty nice too, though I'm not clear on the shell origin (which is more of a SOVREN issue than a purchase issue). ie was it an early Twink or a Mexico. (ie what year)

What is the problem with RHD?

How about this baby for $13800? ("needs work")

The last street Escort Twin Cam in the US went for ~$8500 on ebay, and it needed some amount of work....

I think this all means my street car is worth $50k. :) :) (joke)

My Mk II RS2000 should be here at the end of the month.

Glenn

PS had a beer with David Sutton at Rim 03 and hopefully will visit the museum at the end of the month.

PPS Notice Jim's car has "Brand new zero hour Ivey Twincam as of 4/12/04.". My Cortina engine was built by me, but machining and dyno by Ivey, and I know what that cost (for a crossflow). So a Lotus (if Jay built it) we're talking a cost of prob $4-5k ... Lotus Weber heads are ~$1300 easily just for cores.....
