If this info. is buried in the site, I can't find it (slow modem connection here at home, going through every single page would take mucho time).

Please advise - eagerly awaiting this information :D

Ray is currently out of town working on the Rally. I did phone him to tell him the problem with the Supp. Regs. He will fix it on Tuesday when he returns. Sorry for the delay. Look forward to seeing you all there.

I think the worker gift Kristen is referring to is a $250 Magellan GPS Unit that Janice Tabor won in the volunteer gift drawing. I beleive she was advised of winning this gift. We thought it had gotten forwarded to her in Oregon but on investigation we find it is stil in a box with some other unclaimed prizes in Roger's garage.

We apologise for this oversight. Kristen, if anyone from up there is going to be down at the rally, I will personally see that it is sent up with them or we will mail it to you. Very sorry.

25 volunteer awards were given away in our drawing including a DVD player, a mountain bike, the GPS Unit, and six leather jackets. We dropped the ball on getting this one delivered, very sorry. Had I been reminded sooner you would have it in your hands.

I just checked with Mom, and she says that she has never been contacted about anything regarding Laughlin or anything she might have won.

She says that she thought worker gifts were a great idea, but best done in public. She also says that giving prizes and things for the competitors is great, also, and that you guys do a great job in general.

But, she says she wasn't ever contacted regarding anything; Ray, I'll email the address to you guys and you can send it UPS.

Personally, I think you guys do great work and that your event should be the big year-end rally bash; you guys work hard, and have set the bar as high as it should be for other events to strive to be. No other event does as much for so many people, rooms, cool light-up pens, bags, shirts, the list is endless. Every year you guys find something to make better! :)

It's a good, challenging event; good luck to all the competitors that enter! Remember: Snow tires for Friday, rally tires for Saturday, rally tires for Sunday. :)

RE: Kristen's Reminder

John, John, John.... what other tires would I recommend? Falkens?

For those of you who don't know: the first year of Laughlin, I forget who it was who ran Falkens, maybe Tony Chavez? Someone help me out here.... anyway, the Falkens basically melted and were useless, and the competitors finished on one Falken, two Michelins, and one other tire I don't remember what it was. And this competitor was sponsored by Falken! :) It was amusing.

:) Silverstone, however, doesn't make snows... so go get a couple sets of Haaka's, trust me on this one!! :)

Of course, having said all that, now it's going to be dry and cold, no snow to speak of... or the snow will be on the Grand Canyon stages, not the Elk Camp stages... :)
