Who was the last person/car to post an overall win at
a SCCA ProRally event in a 2WD car? Was it Harris Done
in his Rx-7 in 1992?

Tim O'Neil had an overall win in a Production class 2wd car - a VW, I think, but it may have been in the late 80's...

Prescott 1997? I believe the Griffins in a Volvo?

TD,

I checked 95-98 PFPR results, as shown on Ben's Rally Page,
and all are 4WD wins.

Honorable Mention should probably go to the Whitman/Baglin Group 2 Datsun 510 that finished 2nd O.A. as recently as the '99 Prescott.

It might have been Tim O'Neil on the Coachman stages Rally in November 1990, two months after Doug Sheohard's win at Ojibwe. The results show Tim winning in a VW Golf Rally in Class A. I know Tim briefly competed in an all-wheel drive version of the Golf, so if this win was in the AWD car, your answer stands.

Tim's win that year at Coachman Stages was in the AWD Rallye Golf. He also won it the next year in a Galant.

Harris Done won the '95 Prescott Rally in an RX-7; I suppose you can argue about whether or not to count a 60% national.

Doug also won the 1989 Coachman Stages national in the Daytona, as well as the '90 Ojibwe.

So, it appears that Harris Done's 95 win at PFPR is
the last 2WD win in a ProRally. Very cool.

I was correct, kind of...

1996 The Griffin brothers did Prescott in 1:28:01. Rui Brazil did Prescott in 1:28:34.

The catch is that the Griffin's didn't run as the National but only Divisional.

The 95 Prescott rally was only a 60 percenter, but that still made it a national event. And if memory serves me right, Harris drove the last couple of stages with a front strut punched thru the upper strut mount. That year the race was in June, damn was it hot!!
