Kearney - Supplemental Regulations

The Supplemental Regulations are now available as a word doc, pdf format to follow shortly;-

http://paddymoto.com/forms/KRV_sprint_07_ver0_4.doc

I would also remind competitors that Tech is Fri 15.00 to 19.00. NASA licensing is Fri 19.00 - 20.00.
The Tech on Sat morning is from 6.00 to 8.00 but is by appointment only.

I'd like to thank Des and his whole crew of dedicated people who worked so hard to put on such a great event yesterday. They really put forth a large amount of effort which made it a great day of competition for all involved.

I was co-driving for Randy Zimmer in his Four Wheel Drive Open class 2.5RS. I felt that the roads in the Kearney Rally Village were very smooth, flowing, and challenging. The elevation changes really added to the fun factor as well. A very nice package indeed. The participants were treated like gold. From the nicely heated registration and tech inspection building, to the complimentary food and drink all day, Des and his crew went all out to make this a very enjoying event for all involved.

The competition was very close and Randy and I were leading by only a few seconds all day. We felt that our tire choice was what enabled us to pull it out with only 2 seconds to spare on the last stage.

The bikes ran about 6 seconds slower than the fastest cars all day. The top spot was won by Steve Mauk of Max BMW over Max Stratton by just one second! Both were riding 1200cc BMW SP2's.

Kearney Rally Village has got a bright future ahead of them. This place is a first class facility and I look forward to completing my own rally legal car to compete in the future.

Des, thanks again for the monumental task of pulling off your first event in style!

thanks very much for this Mike, I'm very glad this event went well and that everybody had a great time. There are a few areas we can improve so we hope to be even better next time around. I am now in planning for the 6 event Championship March to September 2008 and will launch that in early January.

I was considering a 'shakedown' event one week before SnoDrift .. oops forgot about the event at http://www.teamoneil.com/index.htm

I would intend to run another event before our Sprint Championship - again 6 stages but back to back with a short break in the middle - start at 10.00 finish around 2.00. I would be very grateful if people would let me know if they are interested.

Glad we came. You guys did a good job and I'm sure you will improve the next time.

Check your email Des. Might be a bit too tight schedule in Jan.

Thanks man, we just need to see some action pictures and videos now. There was a lot of cameras there where's stuff?

As for the event, it was awesome, great turnout. It was enough to make us want to do the whole series next year.

Thanks.

I had a great time! I got to see some good friends that I haven't seen in a while. The facility & the rally where awesome. I just can't wait for the series next year. I will definitely have to bring some more Portagees to balance out the Irish population.. Lol. We were outnumbered! All in all a really great time. I think this was along time coming. Congrats Des, Otis & whom ever else put this together. Job well done!!

KRV Rally Sprints 2008?

Looking forward to the series for next year. Single day rally sprints (C1) are a nice option between rally-x and the current RA 3-day events. Any idea when the dates may be rolled out? We'd like to attend as many as we can schedule.
