Has anyone noticed that SpecialStage has pretty much obliterated Rally-L as the news and discussion forum for U.S. rallyists? It's a rare day when I get >10 posts from Rally-L anymore. Usually it's more like half that.

It sure looks that way Jon. I still lurk there via the digest and it seems like the last real activity was when a whole bunch of folks said they were pissed and unsubscribing. I guess they weren't bluffing.
Actually, Rally-L is in the middle of being converted to the Majordomo 2 system, which is an excellent product.
Nick has alway presented the rally community with a great product that allows readers to utilize a 'pushed' system. I have always (and still do) enjoyed the Rally-L system and I hope that this second form of rally communication doesn't leave us.
It is not our intention to replace the big -L, but to offer people an alternative system with a 'pull' format.
Great work over there at Rally-L Nick, and I hope that you continue to help the rally community at large.
This was a very sad thing. About a month ago the discourse - too good a term really - hit rock bottom over there.
Like a favourite bar where, at the end of the evening, only a few rowdies are talking about nothing and you're powerless to tune them out, rally-l was at last call.
Over here now it's more like a good house party - you can listen to whatever conversation you want, and most of the people are only slightly tipsy(!); in every group the participants are listening.
Nick - thank you for rally-l. You had the first and best bar in town. Sorry about the drunks.
Great analogy! I guess, no one but the barflies remain.
I look forward to meeting you in Edson later this month. We're seeded just ahead of you on the road in McGeer's old Legacy - the car is willing and the crew WAS able, but we're gonna be rusty so please go easy on us.

PS Thanks to the great team at Special Stage for their work! We all benefit from, and appreciate, your efforts.
