??? - I guess enough to get me into a top notch rally school to make me a better driver

$500 at a second or third in class level.

Essentially, enough for me to repair the additional damage I'm likely to do. $500 will easily take care of a couple of body panels, or a new bumper or whatever.

Your message reads like, "How much money do we have to throw at you so you take huge chances"... like if there were more spectacular crashes we'd have more revenue for the sport... that's pretty scary talk!

A real cash incentive based purly on results is going to attract a higher caliber of driver and won't help any of the current players quit their day job.

That, and the numbers you need to talk need more zeros... a couple of hundred bucks only buys 1 tire... get someone a chance to cover their costs for a big chunk of the season and you'll see more competitions like last year's Group N competition.

No amount of money would make me push harder than I already choose to do. Only the road conditions, my sense of self-preservation, and my knowledge of my ability level control how I drive. No amount of money will change that. In my opinion, any driver that is motivated soley by money isn't a very motivated one in the first place.

In a situation where it's down to the last stage, and the guy in the lead is only a few seconds in front of you, any competitive driver will push for that win like it was worth a million dollars - even if it's worth nothing.

The only thing $$ will do for me is attract me to more events, or attract me to certain events. Once I'm on stage, it doesn't matter.

Last year in Prescott...$300. I'll be shooting for more in a couple of weeks.
I see you're entered now too, George. You might just win some yourself.
