Forgot to congratulate Lurch on the High Rev. Tuners highlight that he got. While I admit that that show is like a bad car accident, I just have to watch.
While I might not like the show for it's content (stereo and DVD systems aren't my thing) I do notice that Ford is a huge sponsor of the show as well as Quaker State and a number of other big companies.
Corporate America is on the "Import Scene" bandwagon. Now if we could somehow tie Rally to "Import Scene" maybe, just maybe there could be hope of a National Series Sponsor (prize-money? Yeah, right)and maybe even some contingency prizes, that make running certain products beneficial to the racer.
The only feedback I get from sponsors is when I attached a photo of the EVO. Most could care less about rally and don't know about it. But show them a big-winged turbo car and throw in some catchy words along with "sliding in the dirt" and they seem to get interested.
Brian "Nitto rally tires????"
