alright,

I wanted to post something about headwaters in Feb, and I just can't stand it anymore.

What's the scoop? Who's in, who's wussing out.

Not having taken a breath of "fresh rally air" since sno drift I'm dying to get my fix. I've looked at the schedule and it seems to be running later at night than last year even, but whatever.

I just want to know who is going to pound the crap out of everyone else.

Kyle

Also - nice job to ramana at new zeeland. You finished a World Rally. That's pretty awesome. One day maybe I can be lucky enough to watch one in person.... let alone race in one. That had to be pretty sweet.

I cant wait for Headwaters also. It has been a along rallyless winter for myself. But about the pounding I am going to give everyone else ... i cant wait for that too! No im just joking, Dave Sterling was looking very fast in his Omni at this weekends rallycross and Bob Olson is always fast, so I know group 5 will be a showdown. As for the other classes, who knows? I hope that was a help for you.

Thanks Tyler, you were slinging some nice dirt yourself! I'd like to think Stacy and I will give you/Doug and Bob/Conrad some competition...but we'll see.

As for other classes...

Group 2 is always nuts here in Minnesota/Wisconsin/Michigan. So many good drivers...it's tough to make that call. Nielsen will be fast as always. Ted Weidman/Carl Biewald (sp) looked real fast this past weekend in their Golf. Headwaters will be their first ClubRally.

Production I'll take Seppanen followed (closely) by Cox.

PGT and Open...who the heck knows. I'm sure Adam Moren and his mystery co-driver might have something to say about PGT. *grin* Watch out for those two.

Bottom line...Headwaters '03 is going to be incredible. I know the rallymaster is setting up a rally he would love to run. He likes fast and fun events with nice long services. This event will rule.

I'm dying to see an entry list. I know that good things come to those who wait, so I'm waiting.

The cool thing about an entry list is that you can start to play "pretend Headwaters 2003" with a little more detail.

Here's a couple of picks:

Open: ryan johnson (get that car finished)
G5: Bob Olson (my brother in car pounding)
G2: I have no idea
P: Seppy

sorry jake, it's probably not going to be done. the guy that's supposed to be doing my cage can't do it now, so i'm trying to find someone else in the cities to do it. other than that, it's done and it's going to be a monster!

man, two picks for me and i've never even run a stage. i'm just hoping my car will stay together for a race when it's ready. (if it does, then i'll crank up the boost and scare broc or trever) :)

Ryan, you should devote every waking moment to getting a cage in one or more of your cars and getting otherwise your be just like me, cleaning tires out during service wishin' you were racin'!

If the racers are at all like Kyle and I trying to deal with the tremendously long sno*drift to headwater gap they will all be so pumped up that the Minnesota forest land speed records will be shattered. This great amount of speed will bring much carnage. Cars will turn to tree ornaments, tires will be turning so fast that the centripetal forces will stretch them off the beads, poorly designed rear wings will be torn from cars due to enormous drag forces. Yes, it will be a good race.

Open: Martin, Gingras, I don?t know.
N: Utecht (is he racing N?)
PGT: Maciukevicius
G5: Olson. where the heck has Butts been. I got a fever and the only thing that will take?er down is a V8.
G2: Burmeister, cizmas, Joel Sanford(he kicked ass at Drift!)
P: H and H, the dude with the new bug

Hopefully cars don?t turn to tree ornaments....
HEADWATERS!! WOOOO HOOO!

It's ok to say as I have posted it before. I am co-driving for Adam Moren in my old PGT Eclipse.

He promises he won't scare me.

Wait a minute, that's what I tell my co-drivers, oh s**t!

Bring your car on down to Iowa. Chocolate Santa is bringing a bender any day now and I could use the practice before building mine ;)

It's actually a legit offer, but I somehow doubt anyone's desire for a cage outways their skepticism of someone they don't know building it, eh?

I have actually dabbled in co-driving quite a bit lately. However, given the opportunity, I will always want the funny round thingy and pedals to stomp on MY side.

Well, there is this really cool thing that I saw that will satisfy your needs. I think it is made by playschool. Just put it on your lap and have at it whenever the urge hits. Kind of like a driver's education car.......

Mark Martin is going to be at Headwaters?! Sweet! I'll go for him too. Any speculation as to what he'll drive? I'm going with Ford Taurus SHO with two... no three NOS tanks. I hear the more NOS you have the better chance you have to win. See you there.

MAN O MAN the possibilies are endless.....Mr. Utecht co-driving for a newbee.... Let's see:
1.Won't scare too bad - so far so good.
2. Dabbled in codriving lately- Yup, but that was in a little Gti that Mark could push out of a stream if needed (and it was, and he did).
3. Turn to the "dark side" and convert to codriving- HA !!!
a-bee a-bee a-bee, he don't know you berry well, do he?

Actually I know Mark will do well w/ Adam and they will have FUN.
Mark did great for me at Tall Pines last year and used stage notes-
Just understand Adam, when he says "FASTER" he means "A LOT FASTER".

- I hope to be there to help w/ service.

It's Dennis Martin, and I have SHO sitting in the yard right now. The car was wicked fast without NOS. It's a bit heavy, but the car doesn't actually rally to badly. If it weren't for Mike Hurst's NASCAR motored Mustang and Brian Vinson's Supra, I think the SHO could be a contender for the most stupidly overpowered 2wd car in the Midwest. Hmm, if I sell the Lancer.... :)
